Activate or suspend persistence of data to a data product. Persistence function starts/stops the ingestion of samples into the data product. Without ingestion samples are not stored.
Currently in OOIN, data products are being ingested and persisted without the Facility Manager needing to do the following steps. Steps below are for information purposes only at this time.

The user must have the proper role (Facility Manager and above) to make adjustments to the data product. See Establish User Role & Access Permissions for instructions on how to request the appropriate role if required.

Steps below begin from data product's Facepage, click on either navigating or searching for more details.

Activate Persistence

Step 1: From the upper right stack menu from a data product's Facepage, click on the Activate Persistence selection from the drop down menu. Activating persistence starts the ingestion of samples into the data product. Without ingestion samples are not stored.

Step 2: Continue by selecting Activate Persistence in the dialog box. Or click Cancel to close window and proceed without activating.

Suspend Persistence

Step 1: From the upper right stack menu from a data product's Facepage, click on the Suspend Persistence selection from the drop down menu. Activating persistence starts the ingestion of samples into the data product. Without ingestion samples are not stored.

Step 2: Continue by selecting Suspend Persistence in the dialog box. Or click Cancel to close window and proceed without suspending.
